Not long ago I figured that blogging is an effective way to promote websites, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, its a fact that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, together with Open Source License make the WordPress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, not to mention I can’t just post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to put real content on your site won’t be an easy job, its never easy to build successful blogs. Check out a couple of interesting blogs, such as this one, tie down, it’s name is pretty cute, the content on the site is not bad, without a clear theme, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. Here is another one, Lifting Chains, this one has main theme, all posts are following the same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. there are more sites like these out there, but the basics are all the same. One more important point, in your little net you should have some loose blogs, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, Best Linux Hosting, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
After you successfully build a few blogs, you can try to build a few more, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, follow the white hat tricks and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
